Custom Debit Card Frequently Asked Questions
Three Custom Card types are available in addition to our Standard Debit Card:
Secure ID Cards
Include a photo of yourself on your debit card. Upload your portrait to one of the card designs from our gallery and make your debit card safer than before.
Show off your family, favorite landscape, your pet or whatever you want - every time you make a purchase. Just upload your favorite photo and use it as your background. The photo covers the entire card.
Show your school spirit with a loyalty card. Raise money for the school displayed on your card every time you make a credit purchase without using your PIN. .25% of your purchase goes to the school. Select from a variety of schools to support.
Can I keep my existing Farmers State Bank Debit Card and card number and just add a custom image to it?
Unfortunately there is no way to add a custom image to a standard debit card without issuing a new card number. In order to receive a custom card, a new card will need to be ordered. Please destroy your current card when your new card arrives.
How do I switch from a Standard Farmers State Bank Debit Card, to a Custom Debit Card?
Click Order Card Now and upload a photograph for your photo card, a photograph of your portrait for a Sure Identity card or select your favorite school for a Loyalty Card. When your new Custom Debit Card arrives in the mail, it will include a new card number, three-digit security code and PIN.
Points will not transfer when customers switch from a regular/standard, a Custom Photo or a Secure ID debit card to a Loyalty card.
However, if spouses or two people on an account both have debit cards and both are registered for Rewards but only one spouse switches to a Loyalty card, the points will be transferred to the other person or spouse.
What Should I do With my Old Farmers State Bank Debit Card?
After activating your new card, destroy of your old card.
How do I change my Custom Card image?
Order a new Custom Card online through our website and upload a new image. This means you'll get a new card number, three-digit security code and PIN. After receiving the initial complimentary custom image card, each card change or replacement card is $10, excluding expired reissues. Excludes Simple Checking Accounts. Simple Checking: $10 per card, excluding expired reissues.
What if I pay recurring bills using any Farmers State Bank Debit Card?
When your new Custom Card arrives, contact the vendor initiating the bill payment and switch the transaction to your new Custom Card number. All new/replacement Custom Cards come with a new card number, three-digit security code and PIN. If you're reissuing an existing Custom Card (keeping your current image, number and PIN) your recurring bills will continue to be paid as they are today.
If I lose my card or it is stolen, what should I do?
Immediately report it by calling any office during business hours or 800-554-8969 after hours. To replace a lost or stolen photo card or secure identity card click Order Card Now or call any office. Your new Debit Card will have a new card number, three-digit security code and PIN. Don't forget! If you used your old Debit Card number to pay bills, remember to contact payees with your new Card number.
If my card becomes damaged or my name changes, what should I do?
In order to have your existing card reissued with the same card number and pin, please visit your local office or contact us at 217-285-5585. The Replacement Card Fee will apply.
What is the cost?
No charge for one card per year, excluding Simple Checking. There is a $10 charge for more frequent changes and Simple Checking Accounts. This fee is deducted from your checking account within two business days of submitting the Custom Card Order.
What types of images are accepted?
Farmers State Bank and its vendor partners reserve the right to determine whether a submitted image will be accepted. See Image Guidelines for more information. We will notify you if your image quality is not accepted.
How will I know if my image is approved or not?
You will be notified if your image is not approved. This process may take up to 3 business days. The images are verified by our card processer, so we do not have access to the images to confirm for you when they are approved.
Can the joint account holder have a custom card with a different image than me?
Yes. Each signer on the account can have their own unique card of their choice.
