“We are honored to have been named one of the top finalists for the Extraordinary Bank of the Year,” said Nevin Grigsby, President of Farmers State Bank. “This year, we have accomplished far and beyond more than we ever have, and it is all because of the little things we do throughout the year with philanthropy, customer service, culture and financial literacy for our students and communities. Farmers State Bank has been providing a tradition of trust for over 129 years. Because of our customers who have challenged us to help them succeed and our dedicated employees, we are setting the foundation to be around for another 129 years and beyond.”
The Extraordinary Banking™ Awards exist to highlight the vital, yet often overlooked, role that local community banks play in our economy. Consumers use the Grammys to guide their music purchases, the Emmy’s lead them to the best of television, and the Tonys highlight outstanding live theater. Now, consumers have the Banky® Awards as their guide to discovering the very best, most extraordinary banks in their communities, and in the country. This year, the Banky’s recognized the top 1 percent, just 60 of the 6000 community banks in America. The Banky is the Mark of Excellence for Community Banks.
